In 2015, after the birth of their first child, Mark and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan announced through a Facebook post that they will be donating 99% of their fortune to charity. The relative post was for their first child, they said we want you to grow up in a world better than ours today. They also mention that we will do our part to make this happen, not only because we love you, but also because we have a moral responsibility to all children in the next generation.
